Travel tips, culture and guides for visiting Korea
Editor’s Note
What makes a Korea travel guide useful
I've spent most of my life in Seoul and travelled extensively across the country — Jeju, Busan, Gyeongju, the east coast, the smaller cities most itineraries skip. These guides are built around the questions I actually get from overseas visitors: which neighbourhood makes sense as a base, how to manage transport between cities, what the etiquette is in a jjimjilbang or temple, how to eat well without a translation app. I try to be specific rather than comprehensive — a guide that tells you one thing clearly is more useful than one that covers everything vaguely.
- →Written from lived experience in Korea, not from other travel content
- →Focused on practical detail: prices, times, logistics, cultural context
- →Honest about what's changed — Korea moves fast, and outdated tips cause real problems
- →Aimed at first-time visitors who want to understand what they're walking into
